About Story Sippers
Hey there, I’m Erin—Chief Reading Enthusiast at Story Sippers (because ‘Professional Book Hoarder’ sounds weird).
Originally from Houston, Texas, I’ve been living in Perth, Western Australia since 2021. I work full-time in legal tech marketing, which has me traveling more than ever, with regular trips to Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, and London.
Outside of work and books, I’m all about the beach, never say no to a glass of red wine or bubbles, and have a deep appreciation for rum cocktails, margaritas, and the occasional beer. Coffee? I never start a morning without it. And since Perth is basically on another planet, I make an annual trip back to the U.S. to visit family, friends, and eat all the Tex-Mex I can handle.
Story Sippers started as a little side project alongside the Illumi-Naughty Story Sippers book club, which I launched in January 2024 to stay connected with friends back in Houston. What began as a small, private group eventually grew into a public book club, welcoming anyone who wanted to join in on the fun.
The website came along soon after, with the aim of connecting with even more like-minded readers. But over time, it’s become more than that. Story Sippers is now a space for anyone who loves stories, creativity, and sharing a bit of everyday life. Whether it’s the latest book club pick, a new crafty project, or figuring out which drink pairs best with your current read (or mood), you’re in good company here.
Story Sippers is where readers, makers, and dreamers can gather to share laughs, swap ideas, and celebrate the things we love. So grab a drink, get comfy, and let’s hang out!
The Illumi-Naughty Story Sippers book club
The Illumi-Naughty Story Sippers book club began in January 2024 as a way for four bookish friends to stay connected across the globe. What started as a private space filled with virtual happy hours and lively discussions has since grown into a welcoming community for anyone who loves getting lost in a great book (and maybe a great drink, too).
Through our Fable book club, we escape reality one sip and one story at a time. We squeal when enemies become lovers, cheer when the hero saves the day, cry when a beloved character meets their end, and giggle when the banter is on point.
At its heart, the Illumi-Naughty Story Sippers book club is all about bringing like-minded readers together—whether you're in it for the romance, to escape from the daily grind, or simply for the joy of sharing bookish chaos with kindred spirits.
